Satin, said plainly
Satin is a weave, not a fibre. Ours is woven from polyester, which is why a whole bed costs less than one silk sheet and why it goes in the washing machine. Every page tells you exactly what the fabric is.
The fabric on every page
Microfibre satin for the sheet sets, 100 per cent polyester satin for the pillowcases. We say which, and we never call either one silk.
Machine washable
Cold, gentle cycle, no bleach. It comes out close to wrinkle free, holds its colour and keeps its size. No dry cleaning, no shade-only drying.

We dispatch within 2 working days. Delivery then takes up to 7 working days by tracked courier, and you get the tracking number by email.

No. Silk is a fibre and satin is a weave. Our sheet sets are microfibre satin and our pillowcases are 100 per cent polyester satin. Both have the smooth, glossy surface a satin weave gives, and both go in the washing machine. Every product page states its fabric.

How to Buy Satin Sheets: A Practical Guide
This guide explains what satin is, what is in each set, how to pick a size and a colour, and how to look after it. It is written for someone buying satin bedding for the first time.
Satin is a weave, not a fibre
A satin weave puts long floats of thread on the surface of the fabric. That is where the glide and the sheen come from, and it works with any thread. Silk satin is woven from silk; ours is woven from polyester. Both feel smooth and both shine. The polyester version costs a fraction of the price, goes in the washing machine and holds its colour. It also breathes less, which is the honest trade.
What is in a set
The four piece set is one quilt cover, one flat sheet and two pillowcases. The six piece set is the same with four pillowcases. Neither includes a fitted sheet. Six piece is about laundry: pillowcases need washing more often than sheets, and a spare pair means you can change them mid-week without stripping the bed.
Queen or king
Size by your quilt, not your bed frame. If you own a quilt you like, order the cover size that matches it. If you are between sizes, or your mattress is deep or has a pillow top, take the larger size. If you need exact centimetre measurements, email us and we will measure a set from stock.
Choosing a colour
Black shows the sheen most and shows lint most. White reads as crisp and hides creases. Gold is a warm champagne tone, blue is a deep navy and red is a deep saturated red. Not every colour is held in every size, so the dropdown on the product page lists only what we have.
Pillowcases
The pillowcase is 51 cm by 76 cm, the standard Australian pillow size, with an envelope closure and no zip. It is sold singly in nine colours at one price, or two of one colour as a 2 Pack for $59, so you can buy a pair, mix two colours, or match a sheet set in black, white, gold, blue or red.
Washing satin
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, on its own the first time, with no bleach and no fabric softener. Line dry in the shade or tumble on the lowest heat. Wash it with other smooth items rather than towels or zips, so the surface stays smooth. It comes out close to wrinkle free.
Delivery
We dispatch within 2 working days. Delivery then takes up to 7 working days by tracked courier. Working days leave out weekends and public holidays, and remote and regional addresses may take longer. Delivery is free across Australia on orders of $99 or more, and $27.50 including GST below that.
Returns
If you change your mind, return the product unused in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery and we refund the price you paid; you pay the return postage. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, the Australian Consumer Law covers you and we pay the return postage.
